EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY VISAS 

Over the past two decades, Andrea has developed special expertise in handling immigration matters for artists, athletes and coaches. She understands the unique needs of competitive athletes and their coaches and knows first-hand how the pursuit of competitive sports can transform lives. Andrea began fencing at the age of 8 and at age 18, she was recruited to fence on behalf of Princeton University. During her sophomore year, Andrea became Princeton’s youngest varsity team captain. Andrea is a passionate advocate for giving children access to athletic opportunities. Andrea’s son Paul began fencing at age 8 and fences for Cambodia’s National Team.

FAMILY + ADOPTION BASED IMMIGRATION

Andrea has successfully represented many couples and families in marriage and other family based immigration matters. She also is one of a select few immigration attorneys in the U.S. with experience in complex adoption based immigration matters. Andrea regularly receives referrals of such adoption cases from other immigration attorneys. Andrea counsels families, adoption agencies and attorneys throughout the world concerning adoption based immigration cases. Andrea has testified as an expert witness in Court, to include during the landmark international adoption case of Bissoon v. Johnson. Andrea emigrated from Hungary as an infant with her family. Her family was extremely fortunate to qualify for political asylum. As a first-generation immigrant, Andrea appreciates the challenges faced by immigrants and she brings that understanding to her work with clients. Andrea also is the mother of 4 children, each adopted from abroad. She has a daughter from India, a son from China and a daughter and son from Cambodia. Andrea’s children emigrated pursuant to immigrant visas based on Orphan Petitions.
